When you contact the Bromley Counselling Centre, I can normally offer an initial assessment interview within a few days. The aim of the assessment interview is to clarify the nature of the problem and to determine whether counselling is the right kind of help needed.
Couples normally attend the initial assessment interview together. However, if a partner is unwilling or unable to attend, an individual can gain a lot of insight into their current relationship difficulties by attending alone. They can also learn new approaches to cope with the difficulties they are facing. There is no obligation to attend further sessions after the initial assessment interview. The way forward will be discussed between us.
